About this trip
Five nights that move from the cultural heart of the island down to the south coast, with the driving broken into short legs. The child shares with you and their meals are included.
Most of the sights are optional rather than compulsory, so a morning can become a swim if that is what the day needs.

Met at Bandaranaike airport and driven to Kandy, stopping at the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage on the way. A panoramic tour of the city, then the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic in the evening. Both stops are optional.

A slow breakfast, then up into the hills by way of the Ramboda Hanuman Temple. A tour of Nuwara Eliya, the town they call Little England, including the Seetha Amman Temple where the Ramayana places Sita's captivity.

Out of the hills to the coast at Koggala. A boat safari through the Madu River mangroves and the turtle hatchery at Ahungalla, both optional, then the beach hotel.

A leisurely morning at the hotel. Water sports at Bentota in the afternoon if you want them, then Galle Fort in the evening, passing the Koggala stilt fishermen on the way.
